Chandigarh Bus Driver Selection Rules:
Apart from basic educational and other qualifications, applicants need to go thorough a systematic selection rounds. Following two steps are involved in CTU Bus Driver selection process. Make sure to prepare according to these. Try to master yourself as per it.
Selection Process:
Step 1: Written Exam:
This test will be of objective type. It will contain multiple choice questions. Total 100 marks are allotted for all right answers. No negative marking is involved. At least 30 % marks are needed for candidates from other categories. Whereas 25% marks are required for Candidates belonging to SC category.
CTU Driver Written Exam will contain three sections:
i) Knowledge of Motor Vehicle Act and Traffic rules = 50 Marks
ii) Knowledge of Bus/Vehicle Repair Maintenance = 40 Marks
iii) Basic Knowledge of First-Aid = 10 Marks
Total Marks-100
Note: No calculator is allowed to bring inside examination hall.
Step 2: Skills or Driving Test
Once a candidate qualifies in the written exam, he shall have to appear for driving skills test. This test will be conducted at government approved run centers. No expense will be paid by the department to appearing candidates. Following are the rules for Chandigarh Driving skills test.
(i) Dug/Ramp test (Reverse driving test) one chance.
(ii) “8” Shape driving test (for only those who qualify the dug/ramp test) one chance.
(iii) Road Test (for only those who (a) & (b) tests above.) one chance.
Note: Only one chance will be given.
Step 3: Document Verification Round.
This is the last round for final selection. Candidates who qualify in both the i.e written exam as well as driving skills test will be invited for documents checking/verification. Those whose documents are found valid will be provided a chance to work in the Chandigarh Transport Undertaking department for driver posts.
Chandigarh Bus Conductor Selection Rules:
Hope the driver test rules are completely clear to you. Now let us take a look at the rules for recruitment of Bus conductor posts in CTU department. The CTU Bus Conductor selection process / rounds are almost similar. Written exam in this case has two portions.
Step 1: Written Exam: The department will only take one paper but it will have two portions i.e Part-1 and Part-2.
Conductor Written Exam Part-1:
(i) Numerical Ability — 15 Questions
(ii) English (only up to 10th standard, — 10 Questions
(No translation in Hindi and Punjabi)
(iii) General Knowledge & General Behavior — 15 Questions
(iv) Elementary Computer Knowledge — 10 Questions
CTU Bus Conductor Written Exam Part-2:
(i) Knowledge of Traffic rules — 20 Questions
(ii) First Aid — 10 Questions
(iii) General behavior & Safety — 20 Questions
Candidate has to score at least 25% marks in written test if belongs to SC category and 30% marks for rest of the categories. No negative marking is there so, answer all the questions. No calculator will be allowed inside CTU Bus Conductor Exam Hall.
Step 2: Documents Verification (DV)
No interview process is applicable to conductors also. Applicants will be called for documents verification after they got selected in the written exam.
