Bihar Police SI Selection Process 2020: Applicants must go through a scheduled selection procedure to get selected for Sub Inspector. Today we discuss about all rounds starting from written exams. Numerous candidates are confused about Bihar Police SI selection procedure in details. They are not sure how the official department will conduct whole process. This article represents selection process as mentioned by Bihar Police Subordinate Service Commission (BPSSC) .
Bihar SI Selection Process 2020
Bihar Police SI 2020 Selection procedure comprises of three rounds. Each of these will be conducted on separate dates one by one. First round is Preliminary examination and physical test is the last round. After that a merit list of selected candidates will be issued. The department will release Bihar Police SI Admit Card for each round.

Applicants have to pass the previous selection round to move to the next one. Failing to qualify in any of the round will end your candidature. BPSSC has set minimum qualification marks all selection rounds for Bihar Police SI posts. Check each round one by one.
1) Prelims
Preliminary examination is of qualifying in nature. It will be a 200 marks multiple choice question paper. Total 100 questions will be asked which means each question carry 2 marks. Two hours time is allotted to attempt all 100 questions. Candidate has to score at least 60 marks (30%) to qualify to appear on Bihar Police SI Mains Written exam date. Qualified Candidates Twenty times of total posts will be invited for mains exam.
2) Main Examination:
Applicants after successfully clearing first phase will be able to sit in next round. Bihar SI Main Exam Pattern will consist of 200 questions and two exams each part having 100 questions. Negative marking for both papers is 0.2 marks for each wrong answer.
First exam will be of Hindi language test. Total questions asked will be 100 in first mains exam. Applicant has to secure 30% marks in first exam under mains.
Thereafter those applicants who got 30% marks are allowed to attend second exam. This paper will also contain 100 questions each having 2 marks. Each question carries 2 marks thus question paper will be of 400 marks.
3) Bihar SI Physical Test Details:
This test consists of two tests. First one Physical Efficiency and second measurement test. Applicant’s stamina and body measurements are performed in this round. Rules of measurement are as under:
1. Under physical efficiency test a race of 1.6 kms or one mile is to be completed in 6:30 minutes by male candidates. Female candidates running distance is 1 km in 6 minutes time. Other rounds are long and High jump, Shot Put throw.

2. Then comes Physical measurements. Here height, weight, chest measurements are done. Chest measurement is only applicable to males. Weight of female candidates will also be checked. See table for more:

Bihar SI Document Verification/ Medical Examination
After successful completion all above three Bihar Police SI Selection rounds, shortlisted candidates will be invited for documents checking and medical. This will be the last round.
